The attack on Pearl Harbor awakened our nation, ignited our commitment to defend freedom and launched a patriotism and determination that is unmatched. The values and character that emerged empowered our “greatest generation.”
Your support of For Love of Country Annual Gala ensures that Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor continues to develop and maintain an internationally recognized aviation museum on Ford Island inside the actual hangars and control tower that weathered the attack. Our exhibits and programs are designed to educate young and old alike, honor aviators and their support personnel who defended freedom in the Pacific Region and to preserve Pacific aviation history.
We are the stewards of these hallowed grounds: the airstrip, the control tower, the hangars, and the aircraft. It is our responsibility to maintain and use these treasures to promote learning and understanding and to inspire the next generation. We need your help to ensure that this legacy, and the impact of this pivotal event in our history, is remembered and passed on to those destined to lead our future.
The mission of Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum is to steward America’s first aviation battlefield of World War II sharing the artifacts, personal stories, the impact and response to the December 7, 1941 attack and the Pacific region battles that followed, honoring those who have defended our freedom so we might educate and inspire future generations.
